Faith Healer is composed of four monologues. They center on Frank Hardy Fiennes, a faith healer, his manager, Teddy McDiarmid, and his wife, Grace Jones, who have spent a lifetime touring the decayed villages of Scotland and Wales together. The story of their touring and of their fateful return home to Ireland is told in separate, often contradictory, stories by Grace and Teddy and Frank himself.
This production of Faith Healer, directed by Jonathan Kent, will try out at the Dublin's Gate Theatre from February 2 through March 31. While Fiennes and McDiarmid will appear in that mounting, Jones will not. Grace will be played there by Ingrid Craigie who appeared on Broadway in Wonderful Tennessee.
